Well, the wall vinyl I had ordered arrived today and I was so excited to get it on the wall. After J precisely measured everything, which took forever....we finally put it up on the wall. We rubbed and rubbed and rubbed. Damn vinyl wasn't sticking to the wall. Yes, I know. It is supposed to be on a smooth surface. Our walls don't have any type of fancy texture, so I figured our walls were fine. I'm guessing they aren't fine. Here is a pic of part of it up. The scroll work for the top and bottom is two separate pieces and probably won't make it on the wall, as Jason predicts that what is up there now will be falling down completely by morning. I'm soooo bummed!
Edited to add: Jason thinks it *might* stick for a little while, but not for long. I got a rather large version and so it wasn't cheap. I'm going to be pissed if it doesn't stick. :-(

Oh it's so pretty! If it ends up no sticking well- take it down & paint a canvas to your liking, stick it on re canvas & use some matte midge podge overtop to secure it :) then u can still use it. Or drop it all off to me & I'll gladly do it for ya! LOL
That sucks that it isn't sticking b/c it looks really cute up there! I was going to do the vinyl thing too, and decided instead to print out what I wanted in a large font from the computer, trace it backwards on tracing paper, rub that against the wall, and then paint the words myself. It took longer, but it is on the wall- so you could always go that route too, if you had too. It looks good though, so I hope it stays up!
And it is so cute too! Hope it sticks!
It looks good from the photo, so I hope it works out okay!
It looks SO cute, so I hope it worked out.....I've never heard of that happening, but I don't know too many people personally that have used them and I've had zero experience with vinyl decals so I'm not really knowledgeable on the anyways. It is really cute though!
